Music
Music has always been central to the worship at St Peter's. We have enjoyed a long illustrious line of first rate organists. Hymns and a sung setting of the Mass complement the service. Since December 2006, Dale Wills has been our Director of Music.
We have two choirs at St Peter's. The church choir, and the larger festival choir.
Church choir
New members are always welcome. We have a varied reportoire from plainsong to twentieth century compositions.
Festival choir
A larger choir that sings for special festivals and concerts at St Peter's.
The most recent performance was an informal concert on 8th April. The Choir also took part in a performance of Duke Ellington's Sacred Concert at the Cadogan Hall in London on Tuesday 23rd May 2006. After that they sang for St Peter's Day on 29th June 2006.
There is no audition, but we do require a good level of commitment to rehearsals and a £10 membership fee.
Organ
We have a fabulous organ dating back to 1894, which is still very much in use today by our accomplished Choirs.
